It was the sun shining through the curtains that woke Harry. They never closed them, always too distracted by each other to care. There wasn’t anyone around to peer through a third story window, anyway.
Harry shifted his head on the pillow, looking at Draco sprawled half on the bed, half on Harry. He smiled and pressed a chaste kiss to Draco’s cheek, running a hand lightly through his hair.
Draco’s eyes fluttered open, locking on Harry sleepily. “G’morning,” he said, stretching languidly before crawling on top of Harry properly. The sheets fell away, giving Harry another reason why they never closed the curtains. Morning light playing off Draco’s chest was one of the best things to wake up to.
“Does this sometimes feel surreal to you?” Harry asked. His hands gripped Draco’s hips, supporting him. “Us?”
“Sometimes,” Draco said. He rolled his hips and drew Harry into a heated snog. “But it’s real.”

The glass of the mirror beneath his palm is cool. As if ingrained into his skin, he remembers the words at the top.
I show not your face but your heart’s desire.
